Awarded £714.29 for an experienced archaeologist from AOC Archaeology Group to conduct an archival/desk-based research workshop for the Ratho/Dalmahoy communities as well as the wider public.

A total of 34 people across age ranges attended over the two evenings from Ratho, Dalmahoy, Linlithgow, Balerno, Pumpherston, East Calder and Edinburgh. The goal was to introduce community members and the public to desk-based research. This allowed participants to help research the history of Tormain Hill or their own independent research. The workshop produced four new archaeological areas to investigate, three possible artefacts, and an interest in finding the hole created by the demolition of The Witches Stone.  The workshops have been successful in connecting the local community to the history of the area.
