Apprenticeships
Foundation Apprenticeships
A Foundation Apprenticeship allows you to gain work experience while in the 5th or 6th year at school while achieving a recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6. This is usually one afternoon a week.
The qualification is funded by and the work experience placements are unpaid. At present, we offer these in our Early Years teams.
Modern Apprenticeships
You can apply for a Modern Apprenticeship if you
- have left school within the last three years
- are between 16 to 29 years old, and are care experienced* or have a disability
- are currently employed by us but would like to be qualified for your role**.
*You would be classed as care experienced if you were looked after by a local authority at any point during your childhood. This includes being ‘looked after at home’ under a legal order, or ‘looked after away from home’ in a care setting such as foster care, kinship care or residential care.
**As an employee with us, you would be on a fixed-term contract for two or four years, depending on the role.
Graduate Apprenticeships
These are available to people of all ages. They give people the chance to gain a recognised qualification at SCQF Level 9 or 10 (degree level) while in work.
You may think that these are for people who have already completed a degree or higher, but that’s not the case. They are a great opportunity for those that are in work and looking to upskill in their chosen field.
As an employee with us, you would be on a fixed-term contract for four years.
