Children’s Health Scotland – Self-management skill programmes 

For children and young people aged nine to 17 years living anywhere in Scotland with a Health Condition or Concern. Through group sessions young people can work to build confidence, self-esteem, communication, and friendships, with a focus on learning how self-management skills can support their health even when times are tough. The Self-management skills programme runs for six weeks and topics covered include stress management, understanding health and wellbeing, coping skills and more. Programmes can run online and in-person throughout the year.

Activities for young people with additional support needs

Boroughmuir Blaze Basketball group

Sessions are open to children and young people aged 10 to 25 years of all ability levels. The additional support needs session allows players to develop their social, emotional and basketball skills. Join for a free taster session on a day that suits before signing up to the term. There is a cost attached to this activity and sessions run on Saturdays during term time from 9am to 10am at

Offered to children aged nought to 10 years to enjoy a comfortable, relaxed, and safe environment where they can learn and grow their confidence.
