School holiday payments
All families awarded school grants get payments for lunches during school holidays.
We use the same payment details you give us on your application form, so tell us if they change.
We pay you £2.50 for each child, every day of the school holidays except weekends.
Payment amounts for the 2026/ 27 school year are
- £15 for the October 2026 mid-term break
- £30 for the Christmas 2026 holiday
- £12.50 for the February 2027 mid-term break
- £27.50 for the Easter 2027 holiday
- £87.50 for the Summer 2027 holiday.
We pay you at least a week before the end of term.
We don’t backdate payments, so you’ll only get payments for any holidays after the date you apply.
October 2026 holiday payment
The October holiday payment will be paid to eligible families on 5 October 2026.
Parents awarded school grants up to the last day of term will receive this payment.
